Patrick Murphy on SB 79 at the NWGHOA Forum on 3/26/26

What more can the City of Glendale do to fight SB 79?

City Council incumbents, Dan Brotman, Elen Asatryan, and Transportation Commissioner, Alek Bartrosouf want to passively await state mandate decisions. Possibly reacting to them after the fact.

Patrick Murphy, among other candidates, wants a more proactive City Council who will voice objections to the state while revisions are being made to SB 79.

Patrick Murphy highlights City Council’s lack of action on SB 79.

Murphy notes that Glendale should follow Burbank’s example of rejecting Metro’s plans to reduce the impact of SB 79. The sate bill could alter the landscape of Glendale with very high density housing, permanently.
