Glendale Councilmember, Elen “double down-when wrong” Asatryan,” was caught posting California Election Code campaign violations to her Instagram account. When she was caught, she delayed correction for as long as possible, until threatened with a complaint to the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC). She reluctantly, but only temporarily, corrected the violations in time for last Tuesday’s City Council meeting.
Within two days afterward, she showed her eagerness to break the law again for her own benefit by repeating the violations. In her feeble attempt to skirt the law, she re-posted her content, only this time blurring a few police and fire logos. We might call her “Ignorant Elen,” but in reality she knows she is still violating campaign law by using the images of City of Glendale employees.
If you call Elen Asatryan “sneaky” and “manipulative,” she will play the ‘woman card’ and accuse you of being “sexist.”
I’ll do it anyway. I’m pretty sure the terms “sneaky” and “manipulative,” are “gender-neutral.” To give Elen some credit: She can be as DISHONEST and CRIMINAL as any man. Congratulations, Elen.
