Misandry is the hatred of or prejudice against men or boys. It is the counterpart to misogyny, the hatred of women or girls.
Unfortunately, misandry is a practice of Glendale Councilmember, Elen Asatryan, who sells it as “women’s advocacy.” Apparently nobody told her that fighting misogyny (hatred of women) is not accomplished by spreading more hatred.
Let’s look at some of Elen Asatryan’s hatred for men:
1.) Elen, an elected female public servant, would like you to know that “Women don’t owe you shit.” (“You” being men presumably.) Elen is still figuring out that approximately half of the people she was elected to serve, are men.

2.) Elen often preaches “equality.” But that doesn’t apply to her hatred of men, where she reveals her sexism with a mix of racism. One of her most reviled groups are white men of the “mediocre” variety. Elen is also the determiner of who is “mediocre.”

3.) Elen’s apparent anger and hatred for men shows up in this example where she fantasizes about revenge upon them, and projects the same desire upon all “women.”
Perhaps Asatryan thinks she can take revenge upon history she dislikes. Or does she mean contemporary men who she doesn’t know and with whom has nothing to avenge? Still, Elen uses “revenge” as a veiled threat.

4.) If revenge was enough for Elen, men might survive. But, in the name of “women’s advocacy,” Elen entertains thoughts of men being dead… and cremated (equally, of course).

We are not all Elen Asatryan’s ex-husband. But we can all guess WHY she’s got one.
This isn’t an incident. It’s a pattern for Elen, One that she repeatedly displays on Instagram, where she also does most of her public communications. Anyone who disrespects, wishes harm, or anticipates the death of people merely because they are a part of a group has a serious problem.
In my opinion, Elen Asatryan doesn’t belong in a City Council seat.
She belongs on a psychiatric couch.
And she doesn’t need our vote. She needs therapy.
If she hates 50% of her constituents, she doesn’t belong in office. People are divided enough these days, and more hatred is not healthy for anyone.
No man, or women who love their fathers, husbands, and sons, should vote for Elen Asatryan.
If hatred is the product Elen Asatryan is selling, I’m not buying.
