East Area “Progressive” Democrats Vice President, and City Council gadfly, Malcolm Johnson, received special treatment from City Clerk, Suzie Abajian at the March 3, 2026 City Council meeting. Johnson, apparently on impulse jumped out of his seat while Mike Mohill was speaking to make a verbal request of the City Clerk. Abajian nods in the affirmative before Johnson returns to his seat. She calls Johnson up to speak immediately after Mohill. Johnson uses his comment time to finger-shake Council while calling Mohill a “racist,” and belittling his local newsletter of nearly 25,000 subscribers.
Corrupt Glendale City Clerk, Suzie Abajian, shows favoritism for some public speakers if they share her brand of “progressive” politics. Don’t try to get a Public Records Request from her if you are looking for information about her political friends like Dan Brotman or Elen Asatryan. Under her watch, there are many delays and denials of information. Abajian owes her job to her friend Elen Asatryan for recruiting her out of the Pasadena school district and helping her get the City Clerk’s position.
It really is time to elect new public servants and put some integrity back into our municipal government. Suzie Abajian is ‘endorsed’ by the “Glendale Extremist Network,” a group of far-left “activists” with a tendency toward vandalism.
