Today, Glendale released a 1:54 mins. video of City Council addressing the dangers of COVID-19. It’s mostly scripted off of the nine-part tweet series mentioned in my last post, but it is overall a good production. This was months and months overdue. It’s unfortunate that the city waited for a Christmas Eve, ICU full capacity, ‘panic mode’ to release it. However, it does carry a very important message that every Glendale resident should take seriously.
Throughout the pandemic, the behavior of our two most recent mayors has not resonated with what they say in this video. Hopefully they will recognize the seriousness of COVID-19 in light of the lack of available ICU beds regionally.
