Meet Shant Jaltorossian. Jaltorossian is a member of the small local group GlendaleOUT, NOT a registered 501(c)(3) organization. He is also the alleged* creator of the “Glendale Extremist Network,” a local radical political group known for some minor acts of vandalism targeting political figures and private individuals.
Shant is also a close friend of Glendale Councilmember, Dan Brotman.
Dan Brotman would like to CREATE (with taxpayer money), a Glendale HR Committee, to host a position for Jaltorossian in local government.
Below are emails obtained by public record request (PRR) exchanged between Shant Jaltorossian and Dan Brotman discussing arrangements for staff meetings, and Brotman expressing his desire to create a government position for Jaltorossian.
As a Glendale citizen and taxpayer, it’s concerning to me that Dan Brotman would freely use money to create new government positions in Glendale for his friends. It’s also concerning that Brotman would consider doing it for someone tied to a radical political group who have demonstrated disregard for the truth and for public property through vandalism.
Similarly, Dan Brotman brought City Council candidate, AleK Bartrosouf, into the fold of Glendale government by appointing him to the Sustainability and Transportation Commission. Bartrosouf is another close friend of Jaltorossian and Brotman, and founder of the above mentioned GlendaleOUT group.
