A tipster using an email dedicated EXCLUSIVELY for making Public Record Requests to the City Clerk’s office has informed us that their email address was shared with City Council candidate, Alek Bartrosouf.
The individual was shocked when they received an unsolicited campaign email at the email address from Alek Bartrosouf, with whom they had never established email contact.
This is clearly a breach of the public trust and appears to be a serious misuse of City-owned resources to bolster an insider candidate by Suzie Abajian’s City Clerk’s office. Citizens who have engaged the Glendale City Clerk’s office recently may also have received unsolicited emails from City Council candidate, Alek Bartrosouf. (Please let us know if you have too.)
SuZie Abajian is one on a slate of government insiders including Alek Bartrosouf, Dan Brotman, and Elen Asatryan.
When the email user questioned Bartrosouf’s about how he came into possession of the email address, Bartrosouf responded with a reply that reads more like a campaign pitch. However, he does indicate that others were also surprised by his unsolicited campaign ads and solicitations for donation money. And he tries to offer a technical issue as an excuse of why he can’t cite previous correspondence. When questioned again, and told that the email address was ONLY used to contact the City Clerk’s office, he claimed he “doesn’t know” and ducked out of the exchange quickly.
When pressed a third time for an explanation of how he got the email address only used to contact SuZie Abajian’s office, he went completely silent, refusing to reply.

I’m sorry about that, a few people have asked. I had you listed as a contact in my personal email address, but now that I am searching I dont see correspondence from the past. It may be because I have been deleting emails because I was low on storage there.
I’ve been involved in the community for a long time so it may be related to a few things I’ve done – Glendale Environmental Coalition, Community Gardens in Glendale, Walk Bike Glendale, I’ve served 3 terms on city commissions. Could it have been any of those things?

We call upon City Clerk, SuZie Abajian, to disclose under what circumstance her office provided the email address to Alek Bartrosouf. And we call upon City Council candidate, Alek Bartrosouf for a better explanation than “I dont know.” Not by mere excuse, but with tangible evidence. And if that evidence is in the form of an email, we would like FULL TRACEABLE EMAIL HEADERS WITH COMPLETE IP ADDRESSES included.
Don’t expect these calls to be acknowledged. We should expect nothing but a cover-up.
City Clerk, SuZie Abajian, is up for reelection in the June 2, 2026 Glendale municipal election. There is no room for incompetence or corruption in the non-partisan City Clerk’s position. A City Clerk should serve ALL of the people of Glendale, not just her friends and special interests.
Abajian was also observed showing preference for a local partisan NGO during a City Council meeting.
